SP45 Falcon

The SP45 Falcon is a USB 2.0, WiFi and Bluetooth control platform based on the highly capable, low-power Xilinx Spartan6 FPGA. Falcon has low profile connectors for easy integration of Nand Logic, or 3rd party, sensor arrays and module boards. This, combined with its wireless and USB interface capability, makes the Falcon easy to deploy into your current platform.

In combination with Nand Logic IP,  the Spartan FPGA gives developers the ability to construct and integrate hardware accelerators, soft core processors, DSP, AI networks, and much much more!

Prototyping and OEM Integration

HIGH SPEED USB 2.0

FTDI’s USB IC with processor FIFO interface provides performance at over 480Mb/s real world data transfers. It has the capability of being configured in a variety of industry standard serial or parallel interfaces.  This FTDI USB has two multi-protocol synchronous serial engines (MPSSEs) that allow for communication using JTAG, I2C and SPI on two channels simultaneously.

1-GiB DDR3

Integrated 1-GiByte DDR3 provides loads of high-speed on-board memory for high-performance applications, including image and audio processing.

BOOTABLE SERIAL FLASH (2x 16-MiB)

Integrated 16 MiBytes of on-board serial Flash for standalone FPGA booting and SoC system nonvolatile storage with a separate 16 MiByte serial Flash for exclusive image FPGA use.

Wi-Fi Module

IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliant – runs the full Wi-Fi and TCP/IP networking stacks, completely offloading the host microcontroller.  Supports WPA/WPA2 security modes and TLS/SSL and HTTPs security protocols.

Bluetooth

Optimized for transmitting high quality audio and data.  The Bluetooth module is a Certified Bluetooth 5 module with integrated antenna, and is ideal for easily adding high quality audio and data communication. 

The module provides dual-mode Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for connecting consumer and industrial devices that require multiple connections and/or high-end audio applications.
